This role requires an employee to be onsite on a full-time basis.

The Role:

Strategy manager to support, drive, and implement the various strategic initiatives at GM China and JVs

What You'll Do:

Strategy Execution and Implementation

  • Manage own work against a project plan to ensure superior deliverables
  • Interact with and lead cross-functional teams to develop and drive strategic initiatives
  • Manage partner relationships to ensure proper execution of deliverables
  • Support transactions and partnership execution through application of skills
  • Build and contribute thought leadership for GM organization
  • Select methods for collecting and analyzing data, and develop informed recommendations
  • Address business challenges in the intersection of process and technology
  • Apply a global perspective to problem-solving
  • Incorporate financial information when evaluating strategic options
  • Produce high-quality work product and collaborate with others

Industry fact-base

  • Understand the automotive business and sector trends
  • Recognize technology as a business enabler
  • Research industry dynamics and landscapes
  • Develop and share reusable assets for new projects

Analysis

  • Diagnose problems and develop solutions
  • Gather and interpret financial information to strengthen recommendations
  • Evaluate new business opportunities
  • Lead business case development for M&A or partnerships
  • Build and contribute domain thought leadership for GM organization
  • Select methods for collecting and analyzing data for informed recommendations
  • Address business challenges in the intersection of process and technology

Communication

  • Articulate thoughts and ideas clearly
