Job Description

Work Arrangement: This role requires an employee to be onsite on a full-time basis.

The Role

  • Analyze and consider the Local Chinese/global market and the customer.
  • Reflect on the GM brand and its connection to market and customer preferences.
  • Provide valuable insights on influential market trends from automotive, technology, and non-automotive sectors and societal dynamics.
  • Define project narratives with top-notch visuals illustrating how customer perception, branding, and technology shape our projects beyond just the car's design.
  • Synthesize these ideas into UX, innovation, and CMF proposals that align with the product concept's specific tone.

What You'll Do

  • Support the UX/CMF team by creating optimal work conditions for them to perform their tasks effectively.
  • Foster the development of skills within the team, forming high-performance UX/CMF groups.
  • Serve as a mediator for other company departments to resolve issues, address differences, and create conditions for delivering exceptional user experiences while considering various constraints.
  • Assign tasks to the team, prioritize activities, set deadlines, and allocate resources based on expertise levels to achieve a balance between demands, priorities, and available resources.
  • Establish a routine for evaluating performance, provide continuous feedback, and manage expectations for deliverables.
  • Plan career progressions for team members, monitor their professional growth, and institute a merit-based reward system.

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)

  • Hold a postgraduate degree in industrial design or related fields with a minimum of 10 years of experience in UX or CMF design, or three years in design management.
  • Proficient in the English language with strong presentation skills.

What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Proficiency in storytelling and visualization using tools such as PPT, Photoshop, Blender, After Effects, etc.
