Job Description

Objective:

  • Responsible for providing remote pre and post sales technical support of Thermo Fisher Scientific products to customers and field personnel, as well as relaying customer feedback to the organization.

Education

  • Minimum Qualifications: M.S. or PhD in research background includes cell biology, cancer research, immunology or similar field.

Experience

  • General knowledge and hands-on experience of cell culture, transfection and/or protein expression.
  • "Hands-on" experience in stem cell, neurobiology, antibody drug or cell therapy is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

  • To provide quality remote technical support for customers directly to ensure that customers receive accurate advice on product usage, mentorship on product selection, and resolution of technical complaints.
  • Respond to inquiries regarding the accurate use of general cell culture, transfection and protein expression related products by phone/email/chat or in the field.
  • Support Sales Representatives to do on-field support to provide technical and applications expertise in response to customers' inquiries as needed.
  • Resolve customers' troubleshooting and complaints of a technical nature.
  • To identify customer opportunities, needs and requirements and communicate opportunities to sales force.
  • Serve as a customer liaison and being responsible for promoting and maintaining positive customer relations.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in a customer-facing role is a plus; emotional intelligence and a desire to help people and solve problems are important traits.
  • Proven ability to quickly learn large amounts of new and sophisticated technical information.
  • Good presentation, interpersonal and negotiation skills, excellent communication skill to deal with the scientific communication with customers.
  • High energy, excellent teammate and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Initiative, self-motivated, growth mindset and meticulous.
  • Fluent in written English.
