AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. Amazon Web Services came to China in 2013, and has been relentlessly investing and expanding our infrastructure and business since then. Amazon Web Services launched its China (Beijing) Region (operated by Sinnet) in September 2016 and its China (Ningxia) Region (operated by NWCD) in December 2017. In 2019, Amazon Web Services added a new region in Hong Kong, making China the only country with three Amazon Web Services regions aside from the U.S. In 2022, Amazon Web Services launched Local Zone in Taipei. The General Business BD team is a key part of the GCR business development, which is positioned as the growth engine for future business in terms of year-on-year growth and new customer acquisition and tier-up. We're looking for an Engaged BD, in this role, you will have the exciting opportunity to develop key customers, design and execute territory business strategy plans, establish the co-selling mechanism with partners and lead industry vertical plays to scale cover/growth long tail customers.

Key job responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a business plan for assigned territories, to achieve comprehensive territory business target, meet Acct. tier-up goal, accelerate customer adoption on AWS, deliver revenue and growth goals for territory business success
  • Fully leverage the efficiency advantage of digital approach to grow revenue in high-volume customers
  • Ensure high customer service for assigned territories
  • Work with partners to extend reach & drive adoption, work closely with other teams to grow revenue in assigned territories
  • Achieve monthly quota of qualified opportunities, manage numerous requests concurrently & strategically and maintain a robust pipeline and related territory target lists in

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • A technical background in engineering, computer science, or MIS a plus
  • 3+ years of technology related business development or proven experience in business development

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a business-to-business (B2B) environment, high-tech products/services preferred - Proven success managing time and juggling multiple projects in a high growth environment where priorities shift fast
  • A proven track record of managing multiple projects while meeting tight deadlines and budgets
  • Superior oral and written communication skills with an innate attention to detail
  • Experience working in a fast-paced and highly cross-functional organization
