Service Engineer, Paper Machine Clothing Specialist

**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly skilled Service Engineer to join our team at Valmet. As a Service Engineer, you will be responsible for providing exceptional technical service and support to our customers in the paper machine clothing industry.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Supply technical service and instruction support to customers to maximize their potential and benefit from our products and services.
  • Travel to visit potential clients and establish new and maintain existing long-term relationships.
  • Manage and interpret customer requirements, listening to their needs and using astute questioning to understand and exceed their expectations.
  • Persuade clients that our products or services will best satisfy their needs in terms of quality, price, and delivery.
  • Meet regular service targets and record and maintain client contact data.
  • Ensure that all trade is conducted according to local and Finnish laws.

**Requirements**

  • Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, or equivalent paper mill experience.
  • Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts, such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Other Skills and Abilities: PC knowledge, excellent organizational skills, deep knowledge of papermaking process, paper machinery, design, and manufacturing.
