Job Title: General Manager

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager to lead our client's manufacturing plant in Dongguan. This is a unique opportunity to oversee the setup of a new factory from the ground up and manage the transfer of existing operations from Shenzhen.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee Factory Setup and Operations: Ensure project milestones are met, and daily plant operations run smoothly, emphasizing production output, quality, and timely delivery.
  • Lead and Develop a High-Performing Team: Manage department managers and supervisors to achieve business objectives and foster a culture of excellence.
  • Customer Satisfaction and Relationship Management: Ensure customer needs are met, and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Compliance and Safety: Maintain a safe work environment, ensure compliance with local regulations, and act as the main point of contact with local government agencies.
  • Financial Management: Manage the P&L and execute the annual budget, including capital expenditures.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical degree.
  • Experience: Proven management experience as a plant manager or in manufacturing operations.
  • Language Skills: Proficiency in spoken and written English and Mandarin.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Strong understanding of local regulatory compliance for plant operations.
  • Business Acumen: Solid knowledge of business and management concepts (budgeting, planning, cost control, KPIs).
  • Operational Expertise: In-depth knowledge of safety, quality, productivity, inventory, and stewardship processes.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  • Relocation Experience: Experience in setting up or relocating a factory in China.
  • Multinational Experience: Previous work experience in a multinational company.
