About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Event Operations Manager to join our team at Amazon (Shanghai) International Trading Company Limited Beijing Branch. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the successful delivery of our annual mega events in China.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and oversee the planning and execution of annual mega events, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.
  • Establish effective event mechanisms to drive efficient event planning and execution, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing process changes as needed.
  • Identify and mitigate risks, preventing them from escalating into major issues and ensuring event success.
  • Collect seller feedback and analyze key drivers for event satisfaction, seller engagement, and adoption results, using data and metrics to inform decision-making.
  • Work with cross-functional stakeholders and external agencies to develop event websites and other tools, ensuring a seller-oriented mindset and optimal resource allocation.
  • Interface with executives, business leaders, and key stakeholders to prioritize, optimize resource allocation, and ensure event success.
  • Develop and improve reporting across a range of event metrics, communicating event progress to China Global Selling leadership and global stakeholders.
Requirements
  • 8+ years of project or program management experience, with a proven track record of delivering large-scale, complex, and cross-functional projects.
  • Strong analytical skills, with experience using data and metrics to drive improvements.
  • Strong bias for action, with the ability to deal with ambiguity and complex problem-solving.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills, with the ability to clearly present ideas and plans to senior executives and across the organization.
  • Fluency in English and Chinese, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to stay abreast of the latest event tools and trends, with a proactive approach to handling challenges and a collaborative attitude.

  • Proficiency in analytics tools to handle large sets of qualitative and quantitative data.
