Transformation Project Manager Role Overview

This role is responsible for planning and executing complex transformation projects across countries or regions, ensuring effective delivery and collaboration with stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have relevant experience in project management, business transformation, and change adoption, with a strong understanding of banking and financial services industry.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing project plans, identifying key milestones and assigning responsibilities/resources.
  • Monitoring project execution, identifying risks/issues/dependencies, and ensuring resolution within agreed timescales.
  • Building positive stakeholder and business partner relationships, providing regular updates, and obtaining buy-in for key project plans and changes.
  • Analysing management reports, deriving insights, and driving business decisions.

Operational Performance:

  • Producing well-defined project plans, identifying key milestones, and assigning responsibilities/resources.
  • Providing timely reports on project status, risks, and issues, evaluating project performance based on management information.
  • Maintaining project change control, ensuring any changes to baseline are managed through change requests and all impacts considered.

Capability and People Development:

  • Identifying and sharing resource requirements, requesting appropriate skill sets and/or experience.
  • Defining high-level responsibilities and objectives for team members, ensuring they are used in accordance with their skills and resource requests.
  • Acting as a role model, creating and maintaining a collaborative team environment that supports and encourages professionalism and development.

Requirements:

  • Understanding of the project lifecycle, business transformation frameworks, and best practice techniques.
  • Agile/scrum methodologies of project delivery, change adoption, and project management tools such as Clarity/JIRA/MS Project.
  • Understanding of banking/HSBC, change drivers, benefits, and stakeholder management.

Experience:

  • Relevant experience on complex projects across countries or regions.
  • Organizational skills, ability to pick up work quickly, and understanding of banking and/or financial services industry.
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering significant change and collaboration with stakeholders across locations.

Qualifications and Accreditations:
