About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to join our team at Shangri-La Boracay. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for purchasing all requirements of the hotel while ensuring that items meet required standards of quality and quantity at the lowest possible cost.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a luxurious and serene haven located on a hillside in a flourishing nature reserve at the northern tip of Boracay Island.

Key Responsibilities
  • Purchasing all requirements of the hotel while ensuring compliance with quality and quantity standards at the lowest possible cost
  • Preparing lists of possible suppliers with price quotations to ensure adequate bidding and market surveys are conducted periodically
  • Closely coordinating with the Cost Controller on par stocks in the General Store to ensure appropriate stock levels
  • Collaborating with the Financial Controller on credit arrangements with hotel suppliers
  • Initiating Purchase Orders and ensuring adherence to corporate policies, procedures, and internal audit guidelines
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Experience as a Purchasing/Procurement Manager in an international hotel/resort is highly advantageous
  • Strong knowledge of procurement best practices, sourcing strategies, and contract management
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions
  • Strong collaborator and ability to work in a fast-paced organization
  • Display leadership and capabilities to formulate procurement strategies in procurement transformation, business innovation, sustainability, and productivity
  • A self-starter with good team player skills, creativity, and high-organized abilities
  • Fluency in English (as well as local language) with excellent communication and writing skills
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, high sense of urgency, and accountability
  • Proficiency in using procurement software (e.g., SCM, SAP) and EPR systems
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Compensation and Benefits

Estimated Salary: $80,000 - $120,000 per annum
