Position Overview

In this role, the Supply Chain Quality Assurance Manager is primarily accountable for ensuring the quality of components sourced from our suppliers. Leveraging your extensive technical expertise, analytical skills, and strong interpersonal abilities, you will collaborate closely with suppliers to develop a comprehensive understanding of their intellectual property and technological capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain effective parts repair processes at supplier facilities.
  • Ensure comprehensive documentation is available for each repair at both the supplier and ASML.
  • Address not only parts quality but also manufacturability and serviceability considerations.
  • Document collaboration efforts in design and engineering projects, detailing supplier and ASML responsibilities through a Statement of Work (SoW).
  • Assist the Supplier Assessment Team with New Product Introductions (NPI) and supplier evaluations, working in conjunction with category management.
  • Deliverables that ensure parts quality throughout the ASML product development lifecycle.
  • Oversee the complete Quality and Technical process performance for suppliers, including managing deviations from specifications.
  • Monitor, assess, and enhance supplier quality performance, transitioning from incident resolution to systemic improvements.
  • Contribute to supplier development initiatives, such as implementing Statistical Process Control (SPC), lean methodologies, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and operational excellence.
  • Optimize repair methodologies at suppliers by enhancing quality, testing, and qualification frameworks.
  • Drive yield and process enhancements at supplier locations, actively engaging in improvement initiatives aimed at reducing cycle times and costs.
  • Conduct analyses of quality and logistical challenges to formulate technical solutions during material availability escalations.
  • Support the implementation of hardware modifications at supplier sites.

Core Competencies:

  • Qualification of production processes for repairs and Return for Value (R4V) of main products (PFMEA).
  • Adherence to manufacturing standards (UL508A).
  • Processes for maintaining and enhancing product quality through SPC.
  • Development of value-added testing strategies (zero Non-Functional Failures).
  • Supply chain management with a focus on reliability.
  • Leadership in technology specific to the main product.
  • Technical competence and development capabilities (including End-of-Life considerations).

Educational Background:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechatronics Engineering.

Professional Experience:

A minimum of 5-8 years of experience in a high-tech environment, focusing on supplier management, part quality, or project management within Electro-mechanics engineering. Candidates should possess training and experience with quality systems and methodologies (preferably Six Sigma Green or Black belt), along with engineering knowledge related to production processes. Specialization in electro-mechanical assemblies is preferred.
