Position Overview

In this role, the Supply Chain Quality Assurance Manager is tasked with the critical responsibility of ensuring the quality of components sourced from our suppliers. Leveraging your extensive technical expertise, analytical skills, and exceptional interpersonal abilities, you will collaborate closely with suppliers to gain a comprehensive understanding of their intellectual property and technological strengths.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and oversee effective parts repair protocols at supplier facilities.
  • Ensure comprehensive documentation for each repair process is maintained at both the supplier and ASML.
  • Address not only parts quality but also manufacturability and serviceability considerations.
  • Document the collaboration between design and engineering projects, outlining supplier and ASML roles through a Statement of Work (SoW).
  • Assist the Supplier Assessment Team with New Product Introductions (NPI) and supplier evaluations, working in tandem with category management.
  • Deliver outcomes that secure component quality throughout the ASML product development lifecycle.
  • Oversee the entire quality and technical performance process for suppliers, including managing deviations from specifications.
  • Monitor, assess, and enhance supplier quality performance, transitioning from incident management to long-term improvements.
  • Contribute to supplier development initiatives, such as implementing Statistical Process Control (SPC), Lean methodologies, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and operational excellence practices.
  • Enhance repair processes at suppliers by refining quality, testing, and qualification frameworks.
  • Drive yield and process enhancements at supplier locations, actively engaging in projects aimed at reducing cycle times and costs.
  • Conduct analyses of quality and logistical challenges to facilitate technical solutions during material availability escalations.
  • Support the implementation of hardware modifications at supplier sites.

Core Competencies

  • Proficiency in production process qualification for repairs and reliability of main products (PFMEA).
  • Knowledge of manufacturing standards compliance (UL508A).
  • Expertise in maintaining and enhancing product quality through SPC.
  • Ability to develop value-added testing strategies (zero Non-Functional Failures).
  • Strong supply chain management skills with a focus on reliability.
  • Leadership in technology for specific main products.
  • Technical competence in development and production processes (including End-of-Life considerations).

Educational Background

A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechatronics Engineering is required.

Professional Experience

A minimum of 5-8 years of extensive experience in a high-tech environment, emphasizing supplier management, component quality, or project management within Electro-mechanical engineering. Candidates should possess training and experience in quality systems and methodologies (preferably Six Sigma Green or Black belt), alongside engineering knowledge related to production processes, with a specialization in electro-mechanical assemblies.
