Job Overview:

The Field Applications Engineer plays a critical role in supporting the development of new products and applications, promoting existing products, and investigating new applications for existing products. This position requires a strong understanding of the customer base and effective communication between the customer, sales, engineering, manufacturing, and other internal departments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical support to UPW supply systems and backup other AMH products as needed.
  • Lead product installation, evaluation, or qualification projects at customer locations to support sales opportunities.
  • Introduce new products internally, with partners, and at key customers, including providing detailed training and oversight of evaluations.
  • Support the Account Management team in executing the BU product strategy in the field for targeted territories and markets to capture new or maintain existing business.
  • Lead and work on applications-related projects that demonstrate or improve product capabilities, both in-house and with industry partners.
  • Assist in resolving major customer issues, including developing action plans and guiding the actions of R&D and field engineers.
  • Create technical papers, presentations, and application notes to promote products in industry conferences, publications, and technical forums.
Requirements:
  • Strong knowledge of polymer materials, fluid handling, pressure/flow, chemical packaging, and processing related experience.
  • Able to work with limited supervision and complete assignments without established procedures.
  • Able to work on complex problems that require judgment in resolving issues and making recommendations.
  • Knowledge and experience in safe working practices for laboratory and wafer manufacturing environments.
  • Good team skills in both leadership and worker roles.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, creativity, and curiosity.
  • Excellent English skills with both oral and written communication.
Education and Experience:
  • Master or Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering, Electronics, Chemical, or a highly related field.
  • Minimum of five years of related semiconductor experience or chemical supply and engineering company experience to perform the duties of the job.
  • Capable of traveling with an independent work capability.
  • Excellent communication, planning, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Flexibility to adapt to work environment, workforce, and customers' needs.
  • Computer literacy with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Working Environment:
  • Laboratory, manufacturing, and office environments, including work with potentially hazardous chemicals and equipment.
  • Domestic and international travel is required.
Physical Demands:
  • Physical effort normally found in lab, manufacturing, and office environments.
