The Senior Medical Science Liaison (MSL) plays a pivotal role in enhancing the healthcare landscape through direct scientific engagement with healthcare professionals and external authorities. This position is essential for:

1. Sharing comprehensive insights regarding GSK's data within the broader context of patient care, ensuring a solid understanding of the scientific principles underpinning GSK's medicines and vaccines.

2. Collecting critical feedback on GSK's offerings and the medical landscape to identify patient requirements and knowledge gaps.

Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities 主要工作职责


• Facilitate one-on-one scientific discussions with external authorities about GSK's portfolio, empowering them to effectively communicate with patients and the medical community while ensuring they can identify suitable patients for appropriate treatments.


• Serve as a knowledgeable speaker at promotional and scientific gatherings, sharing information with larger audiences of healthcare professionals and encouraging clinical discussions to gather diverse insights.


• Address unsolicited inquiries for Medical Information from healthcare professionals in a balanced, factual, and scientifically sound manner through preferred communication channels.


• Act as a liaison between the healthcare community and GSK's internal medical team, providing valuable insights that inform GSK's Medical, Commercial, and Research & Development strategies.


• Cultivate a cooperative relationship with Medical Representatives and Commercial teams.


• Collaborate with cross-functional colleagues (e.g., sales, marketing, market access) to ensure that strategies and business plans are aligned with both patient needs and business objectives, delivering value to external experts.


• Communicate critical safety information to healthcare professionals as it becomes available.


• Assist GSK study teams by providing scientific education and managing inquiries from investigators and staff involved in GSK-supported clinical trials, such as Investigator-Sponsored Studies (ISS).


• Deliver scientific training for business partners, acting as the local scientific authority for specific medicines or therapeutic areas.


• Maintain expertise in the evolving scientific and therapeutic landscape, as well as in competitor products.


• Attend scientific conferences and meetings to stay updated on advancements in therapy areas and engage in discussions with external experts based on the presented science.


• Adhere to GSK's standards and policies, as well as local regulations and guidelines, to ensure compliance with the highest standards.

Qualifications/Requirements (Education / Experience / Competencies)

Minimum Level of Education

Global:


• Advanced degree in life sciences: PhD, MSc, or equivalent

AND/OR


• Other professional healthcare qualifications with relevant experience (e.g., nurse practitioner, physician, surgeon, physiotherapist, or pharmacist)

AND/OR


• Significant experience (e.g., 3 years) in the pharmaceutical industry with a focus on scientific exchange with external experts.

China:


• Master's Degree in medicine or pharmacy.

Minimum Level of Job-Related Experience required


• Strong foundation in clinical, medical, and pharmaceutical sciences with the ability to quickly acquire specific knowledge in these areas.


• Understanding of clinical development processes, including statistical design and analysis.


• Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey tailored and impactful information to diverse audiences.


• Capacity to simplify complex scientific concepts into clear and understandable messages.


• Collaborative mindset with strong business acumen to drive results.


• Proficient networking and negotiation skills to align cross-functional goals.
