The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) plays a pivotal role in enhancing the healthcare landscape through direct scientific interactions with healthcare professionals and external authorities by:

1. Sharing comprehensive insights on GSK's research findings to promote an evidence-based understanding of the science behind our pharmaceutical products and immunizations.

2. Collecting essential feedback regarding GSK offerings and medical knowledge to better address patient requirements and identify knowledge gaps.

Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities 主要工作职责


• Engage in personalized scientific discussions with external specialists about GSK's pharmaceutical products and vaccines, empowering them to confidently communicate our offerings to patients and the broader medical community, while ensuring they can accurately identify suitable patients for appropriate treatments.


• Serve as a knowledgeable speaker at promotional and scientific gatherings, sharing information with larger audiences of healthcare professionals and encouraging clinical discussions to gather diverse perspectives.


• Address unsolicited inquiries for Medical Information from healthcare providers in a fair, factual, balanced, and scientifically rigorous manner through the preferred communication channels.


• Act as a liaison between the healthcare community and GSK's internal medical team and affiliates, providing valuable insights that guide GSK's Medical, Commercial, and Research & Development initiatives.


• Cultivate a collaborative relationship with Medical Representatives and Commercial teams.


• Collaborate with cross-functional colleagues (e.g., sales, marketing, market access) to ensure that strategies and business plans are aligned with both patient needs and business objectives, delivering value to external experts.


• Communicate critical safety information to healthcare professionals as it becomes available.


• Assist GSK study teams by providing scientific education and managing inquiries from investigators and staff involved in GSK-supported clinical trials.


• Deliver scientific training for business partners, acting as the local scientific authority for specific medicines or groups of medicines within a therapeutic area.


• Maintain expertise in the evolving scientific and therapeutic landscape, as well as in competitor products.


• Attend scientific conferences and meetings to stay updated on advancements in therapeutic areas and engage in informed discussions with external experts based on the information presented.


• Ensure compliance with GSK standards, policies, and local regulations to meet the highest ethical standards.

Qualifications/Requirements (Education / Experience / Competencies)

Minimum Level of Education

Global:


• Advanced degree in life sciences: PhD, MSc or equivalent

AND/OR


• Other relevant healthcare qualifications with experience (e.g., nurse practitioner, physician, surgeon, physiotherapist, or pharmacist)

AND/OR


• A substantial amount of experience (e.g., 3 years) in the pharmaceutical industry, successfully engaging in scientific dialogue with external experts.

China:


• Master's Degree in medicine or pharmacy.

Minimum Level of Job-Related Experience required


• Strong foundation in clinical, medical, and pharmaceutical sciences with the ability to quickly assimilate specific and detailed knowledge in these fields.


• Understanding of clinical development processes, including statistical design and analysis.


• Proficient communication skills, capable of delivering tailored and impactful information to diverse audiences.


• Ability to distill complex scientific concepts into clear and comprehensible messages.


• Collaborative mindset and robust business acumen to achieve desired outcomes.


• Effective networking and negotiation skills to align cross-functional goals.


• A strong desire for continuous learning and professional development.
