YOUR MISSION

Support for Development Teams

  • Offer insights on the accuracy and completeness of technical packs, enhancing the work of product developers.
  • Provide expert guidance to product development teams during seasonal trips and on-site factory meetings.

Training and Workshops

  • Conduct introductory training for new suppliers on pattern systems, quality standards, measurement charts, and technical documentation.
  • Implement advanced training sessions and workshops for suppliers in China regularly.

Team Leadership

  • Oversee the performance of the Fit/Technical team across the China region, including Shanghai and Ningbo, for both business units and L4L.

Sample Evaluation

  • Supervise the approval process for fit, measurements, and workmanship within the development and OPD timelines.
  • Ensure final measurement chart approval prior to bulk production.

Enhancing Sample Quality and Approval Rates

  • Evaluate products at the prototype stage, identifying potential production issues and recommending preventative measures to mitigate risks during bulk production.
  • Compile seasonal sample evaluation summaries.
  • Collaborate with garment suppliers to enhance various sample KPI performances.
  • Travel periodically to factories in China to assess their sampling performance.
  • Analyze customer returns to identify root causes and develop both preventative and corrective action plans.

Undertake additional tasks as directed by the Teamhead – Technical Development Apparel Sourcing.

YOUR TALENT
  • Degree or equivalent education focused on textile or garment technology.
  • At least 10 years of experience in the textile or garment sector, with a proven history of managing sample review teams.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Qualifications and experience in pattern making and craftsmanship within relevant product categories, such as sportswear, outerwear, and performance products.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently under pressure.
  • Flexibility to adapt to a dynamic work environment.
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks effectively with a proactive approach.
  • Familiarity with Gerber Accumark and Browzwear 3D V-stitcher is a plus.
  • A collaborative team player with excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
