Key Responsibilities:

General Legal Support Duties:

  • Draft and submit intricate documents, tasks, and/or projects in specialized legal areas to relevant authorities.
  • Independently create related correspondence for legal counsel.
  • Evaluate and interpret communications from inventors and external parties, utilizing knowledge of various jurisdictions (e.g., governmental bodies, vendors, external legal advisors, embassies) to pinpoint critical dates and obligations; discern which communications should be escalated to the appropriate legal representatives.
  • Conduct thorough research and detailed analysis of legal matters.
  • Obtain necessary signatures/approvals and ensure documentation is in order.
  • Liaise with internal business stakeholders and external vendors as required within the specialization.
- Contract Management:

  • Draft, assess, and negotiate intricate business agreements in collaboration with business units.
  • Review and authorize complex contracts (e.g., supply agreements, employment contracts, non-disclosure agreements).
- Legal Proceedings:

  • Support attorneys in managing litigation and internal discovery processes.
  • Implement litigation preservation measures.
  • Address subpoenas as necessary.
- Additional Responsibilities

Education and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field, with a minimum of 5 years of related experience required or
9 years of relevant work experience required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional certification is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office Suite (e.g., Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) is essential.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills along with interpersonal relationship management abilities.
  • Exceptional independent problem-solving, analytical thinking, and investigative capabilities.
  • Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Comprehensive understanding of company policies, procedures, and guidelines pertinent to legal matters.
  • In-depth knowledge of laws, regulations, forms, and procedures (e.g., SEC and NYSE regulations, International Patent System, WIPO protocols, and best practices for international patent and trademark filings).
  • Capacity to handle confidential information with the utmost discretion.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to engage professionally with all organizational levels.
  • Skill in managing competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Must be able to collaborate effectively within a team setting, including cross-departmental teams and serve as a key liaison representing the department on various projects.
  • Ability to interact with senior internal and external stakeholders on significant matters, often necessitating coordination across organizations.
  • Committed to adhering to all company policies and safety protocols, ensuring adequate measures are taken to prevent injuries and protect the environment.
