**Job Title:** Assistant Equipment Manager

**Job Summary:** We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Equipment Manager to join our team at Remote People. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing our container assets, ensuring efficient operations, and maintaining strong relationships with our partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with container rental companies to acquire new contracts for buying/leasing containers.
  • Work with agents to develop import plans that reduce empty repository costs to desired locations.
  • Manage all idling container assets in the region, including damage, sale, and off-hire, to minimize operating costs.
  • Approve Equipment Out of Repair (EOR) reports, segregate units by grade, and upgrade units based on shippers' requirements.
  • Prepare and submit Maintenance and Repair (M&R) collection/recovery reports.
  • Meet departmental and organizational goals.
  • Liaise with Field Liaisons (FLOs), depots, and leasing companies on pending M&R approvals, turnaround of damaged reefers, and disputes.
  • Ensure each depot adheres to Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for inspection, repair cycles, and other metrics.
  • Ensure FLOs promptly update their Transportation Management System (TMS) container transactions within set KPIs.
  • Conduct regular audits with depots to ensure internal KPIs, repair standards, and criteria are followed.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5+ years of work experience in the same field.
  • Any graduate preferred from the shipping industry.
  • Good knowledge of MS Office, including Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
  • Able to communicate in English.
