About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Service Technician to join our team at Wärtsilä. As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for providing commissioning, field services, and customer support for a range of Wärtsilä products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out automation service and commissioning of Wärtsilä equipment and systems.
  • Undertake installation surveys and assessments.
  • Provide timely reports and accurate feedback on all after-sales service and commissioning activities.
  • Assist the engineering department and customers with electrical installation, planning & design.
  • Provide recommendations for the improvement of company systems, specifications, installation, and operating procedures.
  • Represent the company's interests and promote the company values while interacting with external parties.

Requirements

  • Good general electrical and automation process or marine engineering background.
  • Good knowledge of electronic and PLC control systems.
  • Qualifications in marine or process engineering to HNC or an equivalent level.
  • Good written and verbal communications skills in Chinese and English.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently in a shipyard/shipboard environment.
  • Aware of the demands of working with diverse cultures.
  • Contributes positively to a team dynamic.
