Job Summary

The Service Engineer will be responsible for performing servicing activities on CRM Merlin Programmer devices in the Service Center based in Shanghai. This includes investigating, testing, and troubleshooting issues, as well as replacing components and parts according to quality standards and business unit procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Investigate and troubleshoot issues with CRM Merlin Programmer devices
  • Perform testing and replacement of components and parts
  • Ensure high-quality output and adherence to applicable requirements
  • Write detailed reports in English on investigations and service activities
  • Under limited supervision, execute daily assigned tasks from the servicing job list and write reports in parallel
  • Take initiative to improve work procedures and processes
  • Perform relatively complex assignments and solve problems with multiple solutions
  • Adapt work methods to different situations and resolve unusual problems
  • Review work of other employees for quality and content
  • Report periodic performances to the Service Center Manager
  • Act as the contact person for technical and operational issues related to CRM service
  • Support company initiatives as identified by management
  • Support spare parts orders, forecast, and consumption registration
  • Supervise and perform calibration on testing equipment
  • Ensure proper test and documentation for capital equipment
  • Identify urgencies, failure trends, and root causes, and report to the Service Center Manager
  • Supervise Complaint Management (EPIQ or other platforms) in alignment with global procedures and PPG group
  • Support LEAN projects and methodologies for continuous process improvement
  • Work with the BU for planning and execution of system upgrades, software releases, field corrective actions, field support, and other planned service events

Requirements

  • Experience in repairing electronic equipment and/or interest in servicing medical electronic equipment
  • Attention to detail, ability to work under limited supervision, and ability to handle multiple assignments
  • Ability to follow standard operating procedures and accurately write in English
  • Willingness to learn from more experienced people and adapt to easier and better working methods
  • Focus on accuracy and consistency in work execution to obtain high-quality results
  • Positive attitude, team player, and motivator
  • Quality mindset with dedication to compliance with set procedures
  • Process-minded and analytical person
  • Ability to be flexible and respond objectively
  • Bachelor's/master's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent by experience or specialized training
  • Fluent in English and good skills in writing technical reports in English
  • Computer knowledge: Excel, Word, Outlook
