Role Purpose

This position is tasked with directing, developing, and implementing comprehensive Environmental and Health and Safety compliance programs to maintain certifications aligned with ISO Environmental Management Systems and ISO Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement the organization's EHS policy at a local level, including the monitoring, recording, and dissemination of Health and Safety and environmental KPI data.
  • Minimize incidents and accidents by establishing a proactive Health and Safety management system that enhances operator awareness and formalizes safety consciousness among staff and management.
  • Organize, develop, and lead the workplace Health and Safety committee in accordance with local regulations.
  • Ensure effective incident investigations to identify root causes and implement corrective and preventative measures promptly.
  • Adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, and policies relevant to the role.
  • Guarantee a safe working environment for all employees, visitors, and contractors.
  • Promote and enhance recycling initiatives within the organization.
  • Surpass minimum standards as outlined in the IDEMIA CSR program available on our internal network.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments across all business areas to ensure compliance and identify vulnerabilities.
  • Ensure all necessary legal documentation and internal or external policies are displayed as required.
  • Collaborate with third parties to conduct specialist audits and risk assessments in accordance with legal requirements, covering areas such as Fire Safety, Working at Height, and COSHH.
  • Provide and schedule training on environmental, safety, and chemical handling protocols.
  • Develop, implement, and train all personnel on essential safety and environmental practices.
  • Ensure that first aid capabilities are established and that designated first aiders receive appropriate training.
  • Compile and report training statistics to management.
  • Conduct Health and Safety training and orientations for all new hires.
  • Identify and monitor employee training needs in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Possess a relevant degree in HSE studies and certifications in EHS-related disciplines (e.g., Certified Safety Professional, Certified Industrial Hygienist).
