Job Summary

Lead Application Development Projects

As a seasoned application development leader, you will oversee day-to-day application development projects and engineering, driving continuous improvement in process definition and compliance. You will directly manage software engineers, project managers, and vendors, delivering on commitments to discipline partners and collaborating with architects and global teams on major digital initiatives across multiple channels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage complex application development projects, ensuring timely and budget-friendly delivery.
  • Directly manage software engineers, project managers, and vendors, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
  • Develop and implement continuous improvement programs to enhance quality, consistency, and stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with global teams, including Digital, Engineering, Architecture, Infrastructure, and Security Teams, to drive technology modernization and platform sustainability.
  • Work with distributed teams to drive operational readiness, release management, and cutover planning for product releases.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of application development leadership experience, including proven management experience in strategic planning and budgeting.
  • Demonstrated success leading medium- to large-scale initiatives and technology digital transformations.
  • Proven management experience in application development across waterfall and agile environments.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical ideas in easy-to-understand business terms.
  • Ability to accomplish results through others, particularly by establishing relationships, effective controls, and leading in a managed service environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with automation, CI/CD, release management processes, and application deployments.
  • Proven knowledge of SDLC and good understanding of ITIL v3 Framework.
  • Proven knowledge of Agile methodology, preferably SAFe Agile.
  • Rich experience in managing and working with diverse geographical global teams.
  • Proven ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
