ROLE OVERVIEW

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will take charge of establishing architectural strategies for various components of our systems, delivering extensive, well-crafted code, and overseeing projects that have a direct influence on Optiver's advanced trading platforms. You will work collaboratively with fellow Engineers, Traders, and Researchers to gain a comprehensive understanding of trading mechanisms and system operations. Your focus will be on problem-solving rather than being tied to specific tools or technologies. Your objective is to innovate and uphold the foundational elements of our broader infrastructure.

Your responsibilities may include:

  • Leading the design, development, and deployment of services that form our globally distributed trading architecture.
  • Fostering collaborations across departments to integrate the best ideas into our solutions.
  • Developing an automated trading framework that utilizes machine learning models on high-performance servers to execute trades with minimal latency.
  • Continuously refining our trading systems and strategies to adapt to the dynamic market landscape.

IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Software Engineer.
  • Proven expertise in large-scale server-side development and optimizing high-throughput, low-latency systems.
  • Hands-on experience in integrating machine learning models into production systems and optimizing inference tasks across various hardware accelerators.
  • A passion for technology, with a commitment to continuous learning and personal projects outside of work.
  • Natural problem solvers who thrive on tackling intricate technical challenges.
  • Collaborative team players eager to work with like-minded professionals and continuously enhance their skills.
  • Experience in making architectural recommendations regarding IT solutions, design, and methodologies.
