The Faculty of Humanities & Social Sciences at UIC

Our Faculty of Humanities & Social Sciences explores a broad range of specializations and represents one of the most dynamic and challenging areas of academic inquiry. We offer seven undergraduate degree programmes and two taught postgraduate programmes.

About the Position

We now invite candidates for this position, which involves providing academic leadership and facilitating the development of our Faculty s initiatives and planning.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide effective academic leadership for the Faculty s teaching and research fields (Language/Literature, Communication, and Sociology)
  • Facilitate academic and administrative development by providing guidance in all aspects of the Faculty s programmes, research endeavors, and community outreach activities
  • Develop cross-disciplinary collaboration with other areas and foster relationships with industry partners and stakeholders
Requirements:
  • PhD degree with substantial managerial and leadership experience
  • Broad vision and strategic foresight
  • Strong commitment to the promotion and implementation of liberal arts education
  • Familiarity with the education system in Mainland China and bilingual in both English and Chinese
