Job Description

At IQVIA, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Scientist to lead our Healthcare Analytics team. This is a unique opportunity to leverage your technical expertise and business acumen to drive strategic growth and innovation in the life sciences industry.

About the Role

  • We are looking for a seasoned data scientist with experience in healthcare analytics, specifically in medical technology.
  • Your primary responsibility will be to develop and implement data-driven solutions that meet business needs, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.
  • As a leader, you will oversee the design, development, and deployment of advanced analytics models, ensuring seamless integration with existing infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute data science strategies to inform business decisions, leveraging Python scripting skills, Pandas, and SQL expertise.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define data requirements, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality results.
  • Design, develop, and maintain databases using MySQL and SQL Server, optimizing performance and scalability.
  • Liaise with other departments to embed analytics capabilities within products, fostering a culture of data-driven decision-making.
  • Implement and deploy market prediction models, integrating insights into product offerings.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to ensure competitive edge.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience with MySQL CRUD operations, as well as proficiency in SQL Server.
  • Proficiency in Python programming, with a strong focus on Pandas and at least 1 year of project implementation experience.
  • Familiarity with Java or Python application development, with a minimum of 2 years of project experience.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Prior experience with database certification and English fluency are preferred.
