Alpha Operations Manager, Assistant Vice President

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our Alpha Portfolio Service team as a Portfolio Services Team Lead in China. As a key member of our global business team, you will be responsible for managing the Portfolio Services team in China and collaborating with colleagues across the US, London, China, Australia, and India SSC offices and divisions.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the Portfolio Services team in China, ensuring timely delivery of client file deliveries and resolving discrepancies.
- Liaise with colleagues globally to resolve client queries and ensure effective communication.
- Act as a subject matter expert in IBOR application and data warehouse, providing guidance and support to team members.
- Perform daily checks on file deliverables, investigate discrepancies, and ensure timely resolution.
- Identify operational trends, issues, and areas for improvement, and provide recommendations to management.
- Work independently to research and resolve complex problems, considering multiple avenues for resolution.
- Communicate effectively with clients and SSC management, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution.
- Provide guidance, support, and act as a resource for team members from multiple operational areas.
- Conduct special reports as required and complete technical Change Control forms.
- Extensive asset management experience, including investment operations, fund accounting, and portfolio valuation.
- Broad and in-depth understanding of the asset management industry, gained through working in various asset management disciplines.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues at all levels.
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong MS Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint skills, with experience in writing SQL and data modeling.
