Lead Catalyst Innovation Manager for Greater China

About the Role

As a key member of our Evonik team, you will play a crucial role in driving innovation and development in the dynamic growth region of China. Your expertise in catalysis will be instrumental in shaping the future of our business line Catalysts.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to drive innovation and growth in the Greater China Region.
  • Manage and support complex R&D projects with cross-functional teams, ensuring timely delivery and successful outcomes.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, partners, and collaborators.
  • Negotiate and sign cooperation contracts within approved budgets, driving business growth and expansion.
  • Oversee ESHQ responsibilities for laboratories and pilot plants, ensuring a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Plan personnel increases, including recruitment and cost management.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to exempt and non-exempt employees, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.

Requirements:

  • Master's or Ph.D. in Chemistry, Process Engineering, or Chemical Reaction Engineering with a focus on catalysis.
  • 5-10 years of experience in catalyst development or applied technology, preferably in the precious catalyst industry.
  • Strong knowledge of general catalysis and solid team management skills.
  • Fluent oral and written English communication skills.

About You

We offer an attractive salary of approximately $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on your qualifications and experience.
