Field Engineer for Automotive Applications

We are seeking skilled field engineers based in China to assist product management in defining and delivering high-speed connectivity solutions tailored for the automotive market. This position focuses on developing and expanding business by executing product strategies in various regions. The ideal candidate will possess a robust understanding of the sales process and have experience in providing technical support to customers regarding high-speed automotive connectivity specifications, product selection, and solution design.

Key Responsibilities:

· Act as the product launch representative for designated regions, promoting connectivity solutions to key customers in targeted applications.

· Provide technical assistance to regional clients alongside the sales team, offering pre-sales support and application information.

· Drive customer design-in processes and recommend appropriate product solutions based on the existing product portfolio.

· Gather customer feedback to assist product management in identifying genuine needs and pain points for future product development.

· Evaluate and prioritize sales opportunities based on customer requirements, product strategies, and competitive advantages.

· Foster relationships with the sales team and distribution channels to stimulate demand and drive sustainable regional growth.

· Monitor project progress by collaborating with sales and cross-functional teams to ensure key projects remain on schedule.

· Participate in marketing initiatives such as trade shows, exhibitions, and conferences, and create promotional materials for connectivity products. Conduct internal and external product training sessions.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business; a Master’s degree is preferred.

· Over 5 years of experience in engineering or technical business development related to automotive interconnect solutions.

· Strong technical knowledge of vehicle electrical architecture within the transportation sector.

· Familiarity with the automotive high-speed data connectivity and interconnect market.

· Ability to formulate informed perspectives on technology, products, customers, competitors, and market trends, translating them into growth strategies.

· Experience working in diverse, global teams is advantageous.

· Willingness to travel for regional program coordination.

Skills and Competencies:

· Proficiency in CAD software, such as CATIA or ProE, is preferred.

· Strong interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

· Practical experience in managing complex tasks with effective solutions.

· Economic acumen and customer-centric approach.

· Openness to challenges, demonstrating creativity in problem-solving.

· Self-motivated with the ability to perform under pressure.

· Proficient in both Chinese and English.
