Taking the Lead in Medical Science

About the Role
As a Senior Manager for Medical Science Engagement, you will play a key part in building and maintaining trustful scientific relationships between Bayer and medical societies. You will leverage internal resources to establish and develop strong connections, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive updates on Therapeutic Area (TA) insights, engaging top-level Thought Leaders through customer-focused and high-quality scientific communications.
- Contribute significantly to new product or indication launch, especially in TA mapping and TL engagement strategy generation.
- Lead the generation of the annual Medical Science Liaison (MSL) plan, aligning with the integrated country medical affairs plan.
- Support the TA Head in collecting internal insights, interpreting medical strategy, and communicating it to cross-functional stakeholders with a business mindset.
- Plan and track individual Thought Leader engagement activities, synthesizing TL insights and proposing excellence needs for MSL working processes.
- Act as a contact person from the Medical team to approach medical societies, leveraging internal resources to establish and maintain trustful scientific relationships.
- Contribute professionally to market access and medical projects.
- As an experienced senior medical staff, serve as the Medical team's ambassador in the field, providing insight, expertise, and problem-solving proposals.
What We're Looking For
We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional with a Master's degree or higher in clinical medicine, pharmacology, or a related field. Your strong knowledge of the Therapeutic Area and ability to build productive work relationships both internally and externally are essential.
Key Requirements
- Master Degree or higher in clinical medicine or pharmacology or relevant field
- Strong knowledge of the Therapeutic Area
- Understanding of clinical trial design and rationale
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- Ability to build productive work relationships both internally and externally
- Ability to work independently, a demonstrated self-starter and driver of results
- Ability to assume leadership and mentor roles
- Ability to initiate, organize, and execute academic events
- Demonstrated business insights and strategic mindset
- Strong project management skills
- Fluent English reading skills
- Good computer skills: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.
- Ability to travel
