Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Front Desk Supervisor to join our team at Marriott International. As a key member of our front office team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional guest service, ensuring seamless check-in and check-out processes, and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist staff with expediting problem payments and resolving guest-related issues
  • Process all guest check-ins, including confirming reservations, assigning rooms, and issuing and activating room keys
  • Manage all payment types, including room charges, cash, checks, debit, and credit
  • Set up accurate accounts for each guest upon check-in, including separate room, tax, and incidentals
  • Anticipate sold-out situations and obtain alternative accommodations when necessary
  • Block rooms in the computer and identify designated requirements and requests
  • Coordinate with Housekeeping to track readiness of rooms for check-in
  • Review shift logs and document pertinent information in logbooks
  • Count bank at the beginning and end of shift and balance and drop receipts according to Accounting specifications

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred
  • Previous experience in a front desk or customer service role, preferably in the hospitality industry
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with guests, staff, and management
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance
