Job Title: General Counsel - Asia-Pacific

Job Summary:

As a key member of the Belkin International leadership team, the General Counsel - Asia-Pacific will provide strategic legal guidance and support to the organization across the Asia-Pacific region. This role will oversee the development and implementation of legal strategies to drive business growth, manage risk, and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal counsel and guidance to the organization on all legal matters across the Asia-Pacific region, including contract negotiation, dispute resolution, and regulatory compliance.
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of outside attorneys and consultants to ensure effective and cost-efficient legal services.
  • Develop and manage budgets and financial plans for the Legal department, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business growth, manage risk, and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in laws and regulations affecting the Asia-Pacific region and provide guidance to the organization on compliance and risk management.
  • Lead and manage a team of legal professionals to ensure effective delivery of legal services and support to the organization.
  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance the legal skills and knowledge of the organization's employees.
  • Provide strategic advice to the CEO and other senior leaders on legal matters affecting the organization.

Requirements:

  • Recognized legal qualification and admission to practice law in at least one jurisdiction in the Asia-Pacific region.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in commercial law, with a focus on Asia-Pacific region.
  • Proven track record of providing strategic legal guidance and support to senior leaders and business teams.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and strategically.
