About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Director to lead our mobile engine development team. As a key member of our engineering organization, you will be responsible for overseeing the development of our mobile engine, ensuring it meets the highest standards of quality and performance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of our mobile engine, ensuring it meets product requirements and is scalable for future growth.
  • Evaluate new technologies and tools to drive innovation and excellence in our development processes.
  • Define and implement quality and performance targets, and create processes to ensure they are met.
  • Identify and mitigate technical risks, and communicate technical architecture and strategy to non-technical team members.
  • Share knowledge and best practices within the team and with other teams, and align with the broader EA technology portfolio.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent training and professional experience.
  • 10+ years of game industry technical experience, with 3+ years in a software development leadership position.
  • Strong knowledge of C++ or Java and Object-Oriented Programming, and broad knowledge of game development with one of the platforms, mobile, PC, or console.
  • Broad knowledge of game systems development, and master solid understanding of tech domains: operation systems, network protocols, programming, and profiling skills.
  • Strong experience in distributed server and cloud technologies, and understanding multiple cloud platforms' usage.
