Sales Account Manager

The Opportunity:

As a seasoned sales professional, you will work independently under close supervision to drive revenue growth and expand our customer base within a designated sales territory. Your primary responsibility will be to identify new business opportunities, build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, and develop strategic account plans to achieve sales targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a sales territory with a focus on key accounts, working closely with a dedicated sales team to achieve sales goals.
  • Prospect and establish new business relationships within the assigned territory, developing and delivering tailored proposals to showcase our value proposition.
  • Sell consultatively, providing expert advice on our product portfolio and making recommendations to customers to meet their business needs.
  • Develop and execute sales and marketing strategies to drive growth and expand our customer base.
  • Confidently handle customer inquiries, generate quotes, and resolve any issues or complaints in a timely and professional manner.
  • Utilize sales reports to analyze sales activities, account performance, and forecast data to inform business decisions.
  • Collaborate with local manufacturer representatives to enhance product knowledge, negotiate pricing, and improve account profitability.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the sales team and drive business growth.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Proven sales experience, preferably in business-to-business or distribution sales.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers, manufacturers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks to meet sales targets.
  • Willingness to travel to customer locations as needed.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications.
