The FAST (Field Applications & Sales Training) Rotation Program is crafted to equip members of the Sales & Applications team for customer-focused careers that blend technical acumen with business insights. This program offers invaluable experiences that enable participants to understand how to effectively drive TI's business forward and flourish throughout their careers at TI. There are two distinct tracks available within the FAST program: (1) Field Applications and (2) Technical Sales.
This comprehensive 7-month program is designed to instruct Technical Sales Associates (TSAs) on cultivating and managing customer relationships, as well as influencing decisions to enhance TI's revenue. The program consists of three rotations:
- Rotation 1: Field Sales Office (FSO) - This 3-month rotation immerses TSAs in a local TI sales team, providing first-hand exposure to TI's sales processes. TSAs collaborate with customers and internal teams to identify and seize every potential opportunity, utilizing our unique virtual account system to discover, define, and capture opportunities in both real-time and simulated settings.
- Rotation 2: Product Marketing - This 2-month rotation emphasizes the interplay between sales and a specific product line. TSAs gain insights into product life cycles, roadmap development, marketing strategies, and collaboration with product marketing to excel in customer engagement.
- Rotation 3: Sales Operations - This 2-month rotation offers direct experience with pricing and customer service teams. Key focus areas include pricing models, supply chain operations, price negotiation, and an overview of pricing guidelines, regulations, procedures, and tools.
Upon successful completion of this track in the FAST program, participants will transition into roles as Technical Sales Representatives (TSRs) within TI's Worldwide Sales & Applications team. TSR responsibilities encompass:
- Leveraging technical expertise, various sales tools, and relationships with engineering teams to identify potential projects.
- Managing and quantifying leads while overseeing the commercial aspects of customer relationships.
- Developing, forecasting, and monitoring an annual revenue growth plan.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, or a related field.

- Ability to forge strong relationships with key stakeholders essential for success, both internally and externally.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Capacity to quickly adapt to new systems and processes.
