Job Description
Essential Functions:
1. Develop and execute sales strategies to effectively communicate the value proposition of Cognex products to end-users, partners, and OEMs.
2. Utilize the burn grass/delta sell sales process to demonstrate products to customers and drive sales growth.
3. Follow up on sales leads and schedule customer visits to ensure timely and effective engagement.
4. Work closely with the Sensor Sales Engineer to ensure all Cognex products are sold into strategic accounts and meet customer needs.
5. Identify and develop opportunities to increase sensor sales through collaboration with customers and the Sensor Sales Engineer.
6. Collaborate with the ASP Partner to ensure they are properly trained on Cognex products and can effectively position and sell them to customers.
7. Develop and execute plans for sensors and vision solutions at Most Wanted Accounts to drive sales growth and customer satisfaction.
8. Utilize the 6 bullets sales process to win large strategic opportunities and drive revenue growth.
9. Conduct product and solution demonstrations at customer sites to showcase Cognex capabilities and build customer relationships.
10. Collaborate with counterparts from other territories to identify opportunities that are integrated or installed in a different territory or where the decision-makers don't reside in the Account Manager's territory.
11. Follow up on customer inquiries, understand system requirements, and differentiate the Cognex solution to meet customer needs.
12. Assist at trade shows and other marketing events to promote Cognex products and build customer relationships.
13. Coordinate evaluations using the Applications Engineering team to ensure timely and effective delivery of customer solutions.
14. Maintain and update project information in salesBook to ensure accurate and up-to-date customer information.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
1. Proven track record of sales performance in the automation industry.
2. Proven track record of operating in a solutions sales environment.
3. Utilize defined sales process to deliver desired results on a consistent basis.
4. PC literate with a working knowledge of MS Windows applications.
5. Ability to work independently required.
Minimum education and work experience required:
1. Technical Degree or equivalent work experience.
2. Proven sales experience and a good track record for exceeding sales targets is required.
3. Experience in selling technical products to production managers and engineers is also required.
