Lead Product Engineer

Position Overview

As a Principal Product Engineer at Cadence Design Systems, Inc., you will collaborate closely with the Sales team to explore and define opportunities for our SoC Verification solutions, which encompass simulation, emulation, and acceleration products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work in alignment with corporate engineering and sales/marketing teams to understand customer requirements for product enhancement and direction.
  • Analyze customer design and verification challenges and propose effective Cadence solutions.
  • Translate customer needs into comprehensive product specifications.
  • Partner with R&D to transform specifications into tangible products, ensuring collaboration with the validation team to uphold software quality.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3-6 years of relevant experience is preferred.
  • Proven design or verification experience at the IP or SoC chip level.
  • Proficiency in System Verilog/VHDL and familiarity with HDL simulators.
  • Experience with verification methodologies such as UVM is advantageous.
  • Strong knowledge of Unix and Linux environments is highly regarded.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in teams and maintain positive interpersonal relationships.
  • Experience with EDA tools, including simulators, emulators, or prototypes, is a plus.
  • Familiarity with FPGA technology is a significant advantage.
  • Understanding of standard CPU architectures (MIPS, x86, ARM, or PPC), device driver development processes, debugging skills, and experience with kernel debugging tools and JTAG, as well as board bring-up activities, is preferred.
