Manufacturing Supervisor

Position Overview: The Production Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the production and raw material storage functions, ensuring that all operational activities are planned, organized, directed, and controlled effectively. This role guarantees that production packaging and warehouse deliveries adhere to established manufacturing practices and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage production schedules for packaging workshops and raw material warehouses, ensuring timely delivery of products while prioritizing safety, quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
- Monitor and analyze departmental expenses and variances, focusing on productivity, planning, labor allocation, product timelines, raw materials, packaging supplies, and overall cleanliness.
- Lead the execution of the Daily Standard Management (DSM) system and self-maintenance team (APT) initiatives, continuously improving processes through lean methodologies to enhance performance and minimize waste.
- Implement and maintain ISO9000 and ISO14000 standards through regular reviews, ensuring seamless operations and control over production activities.
- Collaborate with maintenance teams to execute maintenance plans, ensuring the reliable operation of production equipment and minimizing downtime.
- Engage with cross-functional departments such as Quality, Engineering, Lean, Safety, Health, Environment, Human Resources, and Finance to identify innovative strategies for enhancing product quality and productivity.
- Proactively identify potential challenges that may hinder the achievement of site targets and develop actionable plans for continuous productivity improvement.
- Drive the achievement of site objectives, operational enhancements, metrics tracking, and the adoption of best practices by leveraging the strengths of team members and peers.
- Enhance the efficiency of warehouse operations to reduce costs and boost productivity.
- Oversee the performance management of production and warehouse staff, addressing disciplinary matters, grievances, skill development, and career progression.
- Foster a culture of engagement among operators, promoting a positive and productive work environment.
Required Qualifications:
- A minimum of a bachelor's degree and at least eight years of direct experience in the FMCG manufacturing sector, demonstrating strong leadership capabilities.
- Proven ability to lead and mentor teams effectively.
- Exceptional leadership skills with the capacity to communicate clear objectives, provide constructive feedback, and implement performance improvements.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities, demonstrating sound situational judgment.
- A results-oriented leadership style.
- A mindset focused on Operational Excellence and Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Knowledge of ISO9000, ISO14000, Safety, Health, Environment (SHE), 5S, TWI, and related standards.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to perform under pressure.
- Proficiency in English, including listening, reading, and writing skills.
- A proactive, responsible, and professional team player.
