Job Title: General Manager

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager to lead our client's manufacturing plant in Shanghai. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our operations, with a focus on production, quality control, and safety management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage daily plant operations, emphasizing output, product quality, and timely delivery
  • Oversee the supply chain, including raw material importation, stock management, and customs clearance
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team of department managers and supervisors
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and maintain strong relationships
  • Maintain a safe work environment and ensure compliance with legal regulations
  • Act as the main point of contact with local government agencies
  • Manage the P&L and execute the annual budget, including capital expenditures
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry
  • Proven leadership experience as a plant manager or similar role in manufacturing operations
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English and Mandarin
  • Strong understanding of local regulatory compliance for plant operations
  • Solid knowledge of business and management concepts (budgeting, planning, cost control, KPIs)
  • In-depth knowledge of safety, quality, productivity, inventory, and stewardship procedures
  • High sense of duty, team collaboration spirit, and integrity
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Current or previous certification in safety production knowledge and management ability, issued by the Shanghai Emergency Management Bureau
  • Previous work experience in a multinational company
