Job Description

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of our financial records. This includes preparing and posting journals, reconciling balance sheet accounts, and investigating and resolving discrepancies as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and post journals in a timely and accurate manner
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate discrepancies
  • Assist with month-end close activities and ensure all financial records are up-to-date
  • Perform fixed assets accounting and reconciliations
  • Post bank-related journals and prepare reconciliations
  • Provide support to countries for the quality submission of the reporting pack
  • Ensure all intercompany transactions are eliminated
  • Process intercompany cost allocations and ensure all approved contracts are processed efficiently and accurately
  • Prepare intercompany aging reports and circulate to stakeholders
  • Collect and create backup for all top-side journals posted
  • Support external and internal audits with supporting documentation, archive retrieval, and journal walkthroughs
  • Maintain internal process documentation to reflect the most up-to-date ways of work
  • Ensure standard operating procedures are operationalized and consistent with expectations
  • Collaborate with Procure to Pay, Order to Cash, Business Finance, treasury, and other teams on processes and systems
  • Provide support to internal audit for internal control or audit purposes
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A semi-qualified accountant (CA Inter/CMA/ACCA) with 3+ years of experience in accounting for a multinational company or consulting firm
  • A qualified accountant with 1+ years of corporate experience
  • A commerce graduate with 5+ years of experience
  • Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP
  • Working knowledge of accounting concepts under IFRS/GAAP
  • Advanced Excel working knowledge
  • PowerPoint experience is preferred
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Self-motivated and able to work effectively in a team environment
  • Proven interpersonal and communication skills
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Strong customer service orientation with good listening and communication skills
