Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of month-end close activities, including account reconciliations, journal postings, and allocations.
  • Prepare and review reconciliations of balance sheet accounts, investigate and resolve discrepancies as needed.
  • Manage fixed assets (leases and intangibles) accounting and reconciliations.
  • Post bank-related journals, perform reconciliations, and prepare various reports.
  • Review P2P and O2C accounting, reconciliations, journals, and quality metrics.
  • Prepare financial statements in accordance with local reporting requirements (IFRS/US GAAP).
  • Ensure country-level reporting packs are submitted to the consolidation team on time with high quality.
  • Provide support to countries for quality submission of reporting packs.
  • Eliminate intercompany transactions and process intercompany cost allocations.
  • Prepare intercompany aging reports and circulate to stakeholders.
  • Submit consolidated financials after eliminations and checks with the corporate team.
  • Collect and create backup for all top-side journals posted.
  • Verify investment reported in books aligns with audited financials of associates and JVs.
  • Support external and internal audits with documentation, archive retrieval, journal walkthroughs, and other audit requirements under the Operational Controller.
  • Maintain internal process documentation reflecting the most up-to-date ways of work.
  • Ensure standard operating procedures are operationalized and consistent with Global Financial Controlling expectations.
  • Collaborate with Procure to Pay, Order to Cash, Business Finance (FP&A), treasury, banking, and other internal teams on processes and systems.
  • Support internal audit for internal control or audit purposes.
Requirements

Qualifications

  • A semi-qualified accountant with 5+ years' experience or a qualified accountant with 2+ years' corporate experience.
  • 2-4 years of experience in accounting for a multinational company or consulting firm.
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP module is a plus).
  • Working knowledge of accounting concepts under IFRS/GAAP.
  • Advanced Excel working knowledge.
  • PowerPoint experience is preferred.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Self-motivated and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Proven interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Strong customer service orientation with good listening and communication skills.
