Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Financial Analyst to join our team at Thermo Fisher Scientific. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in enhancing our financial performance and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive reviews of Business Unit Profit & Loss statements, focusing on gross margin analysis and monitoring Selling, General & Administrative expenses while liaising with global business units regarding financial outcomes.
  • Project order requirements for current and upcoming quarters to ensure optimal resource allocation.
  • Enhance internal control mechanisms to bolster financial integrity.
  • Perform various ad hoc analyses aimed at supporting strategic growth initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the Pricing team to track and meet pricing achievement goals.
  • Oversee Accounts Receivable processes, driving collections in partnership with the Accounts Receivable and commercial teams; assess Operating Expenses and facilitate deferred revenue recognition.
  • Develop and refine assumptions for the annual operating plan.
  • Execute special projects and provide ad-hoc financial reporting as necessary.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in financial planning and analysis within manufacturing and commercial sectors of a large multinational organization.
  • A proven track record of enhancing business processes and performance metrics.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver accurate and timely financial reports.
  • Preferred certifications include CPA, ACCA, or CMA.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in both English and Chinese.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Finance is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with Hyperion Enterprise and ERP systems, particularly SAP, is preferred.
