Head of Medical Affairs for Greater China

Job Summary:We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced medical professional to lead our medical affairs efforts in Greater China. As Head of Medical Affairs, you'll be responsible for providing medical and scientific expertise to key customers, developing and maintaining relationships with key opinion leaders, and contributing to the development of marketing strategies and commercial initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of assigned products and diabetes care through attendance at key internal meetings, training sessions, and relevant congresses.
- Provide expert medical and scientific advice for assigned products and glucose monitoring, including responding to requests for scientific and technical information.
- Establish and maintain professional and credible relationships with key opinion leaders and academic centers.
- Deliver scientific presentations and medical education programs to healthcare professionals.
- Screen relevant literature and other information from scientific societies meetings and conferences, and develop summaries of key messages for use within the company.
- Deliver training to sales forces and other departments, and develop and update relevant training materials.
- Clinical Research Activities:
- Support clinical research projects with KOLs, and manage the review of local Investigator Initiated Studies.
- Provide support to accounts that require CGM for research purposes.
- Review the preparation of promotional material through VEEVA, ensuring medical and scientific content is correct and compliant with Abbott's internal policies and guidelines.
- Doctoral degree in health sciences, including MD (preferred), PharmD, or PhD.
- Minimum 6 years' experience in the pharmaceutical or medical device industry, with general knowledge of drug development and clinical research an advantage.
- Proficient Mandarin business-level language communication.
- Keen interest in developing and maintaining expert knowledge for assigned therapeutic areas and products.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including strong presentation skills.
- High customer orientation.
- Excellent skills in setting stakeholder relationships, networking, tact, and diplomacy.
- Strong commitment to compliance with relevant rules and procedures, and to scientific quality and integrity.
- A good understanding of written English.
- Willingness to travel at least 30-40%.
