Job Overview

The Management Trainee Program at Expeditors is a comprehensive development program designed to equip candidates with the skills and knowledge required to excel in various roles within the organization. This program provides a unique opportunity for individuals to gain a deep understanding of Expeditors' products and services, as well as develop essential skills in finance, sales, retention, and management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in the Management Trainee orientation program
  • Complete a monthly recap of activities and update the Management Trainee Database
  • Learn and understand Expeditors' culture and epitomize it in daily work
  • Set an example of excellence in every undertaking
  • Fulfill full-time employee training requirements and complete all relevant training as listed on each department's development map
  • Track the progress of training in each department and complete all relevant certifications
  • Assist with the responsibilities and duties of the supervisor(s) of each department and understand the management processes used within each department
  • Understand and work with the operational and financial reporting used by each department and assist Department Managers in meeting productivity and expense-to-revenue goals within budgetary guidelines
  • Complete at least 2 projects during the program and attend all department, sales, branch, accounting, and management meetings
  • Attend at least 2 product-specific sales or retention calls per department and understand the sales and retention programs for each department
  • Learn how to supervise and mentor employees and develop interpersonal communication and management skills

Qualifications

  • Preferable MBA or Master degree, or at least two years of working experience at Expeditors with a proven excellent performance record
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Good command of written and spoken English, CET 6 or above
  • Fluent Chinese speaking
  • Willing to travel or be relocated

  • Effective interpersonal skills, including proven abilities to listen, comprehend, effectively communicate clearly and concisely to obtain positive results
  • Good computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
