Job Summary

As the R&D Manager for Asia Pacific Beverages, you will be responsible for leading the technical development of our energy and sport drinks platforms. This includes driving innovation, future-proofing, and technical brand stewardship across the region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with regional R&D teams, Marketing, Insight, and Supply Chain teams to drive AOP innovation delivery on energy and sport drinks platforms.
  • Develop the pipeline for energy and sport drinks platforms by leveraging the capabilities of our Shanghai R&D center.
  • Work with Global R&D teams to learn global innovation and functional ingredients, identifying opportunities to further localize to Asia markets.
  • Cultivate culinary thinking in product innovation, partnering with culinary teams to build flavor pipelines.
  • Partner with PGCS and Finance to identify productivity initiatives for energy and sport drinks platforms, providing technical support to achieve productivity goals.
  • Ensure technical discipline and maintain all technical product documentation according to Technical Stage Gate and POM processes.
  • BUILD technical capability on energy and sport drinks platforms for APAC.
  • Manage and coach subordinates on technical skills, as well as lab technicians for daily work in the lab.

Requirements
  • Master's degree in Food Science or Food Engineering.
  • Excellent communication skills, including writing and speaking both in Chinese and English.
  • >2 years direct working experience in beverage product development.
  • Strong understanding of R&D methodology, processes, or innovation tools applicable to R&D projects/activities.
  • Strong project management, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage cross-market/culture communications.
  • Goal-oriented, self-motivated, team player, fast learner, and passion for new techniques.
