Job Title: Senior Director Marketplace Strategy

About the Role:

As a Senior Director of Marketplace Strategy at Adidas, you will lead the development of retail expansion and optimization strategies for the China market. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful execution of related programs and manage budgets for store openings, closures, and remodels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement retail expansion and optimization strategies for the China market
  • Manage the retail expansion strategy team and monitor marketplace developments
  • Lead Marketplace Transformation projects, such as new format strategy
  • Manage and track target setting for new big stores
  • Develop advanced data analysis and conduct technical data analysis
  • Manage PLM and BPM processes, customer store support scheme, Capex/Opex planning & compliance

Sub-Teams:

  • Strategy & Key Cities: Track Offline market capacity and marketshare at Regional, city cluster, and trade zone level
  • Franchise Store Planning and Asset Management: Track and forecast store opening progress by customer, and monitor compliance with store opening/closure/relocation guidelines
  • Mall Allocation & Own Retail Asset Management: Define, maintain, and communicate policies and procedures for assigning and allocating malls to franchise partners

Requirements:

  • 15+ years of general business experience
  • Experience in Business Strategy & Planning
  • Experience with a global consumer goods brand and/or modern retailer
  • Experience in working closely with senior management across functions
  • University degree or above in Math, Statistics or other quantitative subject
  • Advanced statistical methods and analytic techniques
  • High proficiency or expertise with database, statistical and business intelligence systems
  • Solid business sense and critical-thinking ability
  • Mature and credible interpersonal skills
  • Fluent written and spoken English and Mandarin
