Academic/Government Account Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Academic/Government Account Manager to join our sales team at Altium. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies to drive growth in the education and government sectors.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute sales plans to target universities and government agencies, fostering long-term relationships and driving sales growth.
- Conduct product demos, articulate product features and benefits, and plan and participate in industry exhibitions and events to enhance market awareness.
- Establish and maintain relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions, and gather customer feedback to improve products and services.
- Conduct market research to understand trends and demands within the education and government sectors, and analyze competitor products and strategies to provide valuable market intelligence.
- Regularly update sales progress reports, analyze sales data, and evaluate sales performance, setting and achieving sales targets and formulating improvement plans to drive sales growth.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely fulfillment of client needs and swift resolution of issues, and build strategic partnerships to expand market reach and business opportunities.
- Bachelor's degree or above in Marketing, Business Administration, Public Administration, or related fields.
- Minimum 10 years of sales experience in the education and government sectors, with an EDA industry background being advantageous.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, able to establish trust with decision-makers in universities and government agencies.
- Strong market analysis capabilities, able to formulate and adjust sales strategies based on market demands.
- A team player with the ability to work independently, capable of efficiently completing tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness and ability to travel to client sites and attend meetings as required.
