Capital Equipment Sourcing Director

We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our procurement efforts for capital equipment. As a Director of Strategic Procurement, you will play a critical role in driving business growth and operational efficiency by managing complex supplier relationships and negotiating favorable terms.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute 3-5 year equipment and sourcing strategies for assigned capital investment projects globally.
- Directly manage strategic supplier relationships to ensure project objectives are met.
- Procure all capex and supplies needed to bring manufacturing capacity online, including systems, sub-systems, equipment, and spare parts.
- Plan, lead, and execute negotiations of commercial terms and contracting for supply agreements.
- Drive awareness of supply issues and lead resolution plans.
- Interact with Engineering and Operations teams to develop project statements of requirements.
- Monitor and engage needed services for installation and ongoing maintenance and support.
- Drive cost improvement, savings, below market costs, and extended payment terms that drive free trade working capital.
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- 8-10 years of experience in Procurement, Operations, and Engineering with hands-on experience in Capital Equipment Sourcing.
- Direct experience in sourcing in China.
- Strong negotiation skills, written and oral communication skills, and analytical and planning skills.
