Job Title: Creative Director for Unannounced Mobile Game
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced and visionary Creative Director to lead the creative vision for our unannounced mobile game project. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire creative vision, direction, and execution of this mobile project.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain the creative vision for the mobile game project, ensuring alignment with the original IP and Tencent's high-quality standards.
- Provide creative leadership to the game development team, giving clear direction and guidance to ensure the quality and consistency of the mobile gaming experience.
- Conceptualize, maintain, and further develop the game vision throughout the development process, ensuring that the game delivers an exceptional player experience.
- Act as the primary Point of Contact (PIC) for all creative decisions, leading and managing the creative aspects of game development, including game design, world-setting, narrative, character development, game art, sound design, and more.
- Deliver creative reviews, providing guidance and actionable feedback that drives quality and effectiveness, ensuring alignment with the original IP and vision throughout the development process.
- Inspire and motivate the game development team to create innovative design solutions while upholding a high standard of quality in player experience.
- Ensure that the game meets high-quality standards set by the original IP holder and Tencent HQ.
- Develop social mechanics and game modes to improve engagement and retention.
Requirements:
- 15+ years of creative direction experience in the videogame industry, preferably on a global scale, with a focus or experience on mobile GAAS games.
- Proven track record as a Creative Director, with experience in shipping games.
- Deep understanding of IP world-building, game design principles and mechanics, art/animation design, and narrative design.
- Excellent leadership and decision-making skills, with a demonstrable ability to manage creative teams and complex projects.
- Proficient knowledge of ARPG genre and the ability to effectively communicate creative concepts and detailed design rationales both verbally and visually.
- Strong project management skills and ability to maintain a strategic view of all work.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills for working with international teams, both Western and Eastern.
- Ability to work effectively in a highly collaborative and international team environment.
- Passion for gaming and a deep knowledge of current trends and popular titles.
