About the Role

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Procurement Buyer to join our team at Siemens Energy. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for optimizing procurement of materials and services to maintain a high level of delivery capability and delivery reliability with cost-effective manufacturing, short throughput times, and a low capital tie-in.

Key Responsibilities

  • Optimize procurement of materials and services to ensure timely availability and cost-effectiveness.
  • Undertake material availability analyses and expediting purchasing and supply sources to guarantee timely availability of materials.
  • Create purchasing orders and ensure timely availability of materials.
  • Trace ordering and delivery processes of suppliers to take corrective measures and provide suitable information.
  • Trace Non-Conforming Reports (NCR) and complete claiming.
  • Check supplier invoices to identify differences and obtain clarification.
  • Operate or support an active supplier management scheme to obtain the best performance from suppliers.
  • Participate in working groups to inform oneself and others about product/supplier policy and exert influence accordingly.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of working experience in procurement or related functional areas.
  • International project experience with collaboration within international teams is preferred.
  • Experience in international working environments is a must.
  • Having worked as a production planner/strategy buyer/customs declarer is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree, major in automation or electrical-mechanic is preferred.
  • Good command of English speaking.
  • Acquire experience in import/export procurement is a plus.
