Marketing Communications Manager

JOB SUMMARY
The Marketing Communications Manager is accountable for executing the marketing strategy for the property. This role encompasses managing all online sales opportunities and fostering productive relationships with local tourism authorities and community stakeholders.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Education and Experience
• A high school diploma or equivalent; a minimum of 2 years of experience in sales and marketing or a related field.
OR
• An associate degree from an accredited institution in Marketing, Business Management, Hospitality Management, or a similar discipline; no prior work experience is necessary.
CORE WORK ACTIVITIES
Implementing Daily Marketing Initiatives to Meet Department Objectives
• Aids in the comprehensive coordination of promotions related to accommodations, dining, wellness, and recreational activities.
• Formulates a leisure marketing strategy that focuses on the distribution of pricing offers, packages, and programs aimed at increasing occupancy rates.
• Oversees the maintenance and updates of all digital platforms.
• Collaborates on offers and content for all marketing materials and publications related to loyalty programs.
• Creates brochures and promotional materials for the property.
• Engages in all branding efforts, including signage and visual representation.
• Analyzes and interprets various reports to provide informed marketing recommendations, including market analysis and guest tracking.
• Reviews and evaluates the performance of all website and email marketing campaigns, both for individual properties and corporate initiatives.
• Ensures a consistent marketing message across all advertising and promotional materials.
• Manages the marketing budget throughout the fiscal year.
• Conducts regular assessments of marketing return on investment (ROI) and utilizes this data for future strategic planning.
• Monitors the effectiveness of all marketing efforts, including digital, direct mail, and print advertising.
• Maintains oversight of actual versus projected marketing expenditures and provides insights for budget reallocations as necessary.
• Guarantees consistency in the property's messaging across all guest interactions and marketing communications, adhering to corporate branding standards.
Leveraging Market Insights and Customer Data to Enhance Revenue
• Assesses new marketing opportunities for the property.
• Ensures the property is featured on all reputable online platforms that can drive business.
• Collaborates closely with local Convention Bureaus and Tourism Boards.
• Utilizes and interprets necessary reporting for effective marketing strategies, including market source reports and guest tracking.
• Analyzes and reviews the performance of all digital and email marketing initiatives.
• Develops a comprehensive marketing strategy for the property, encompassing group, leisure, and local marketing efforts.
• Plans and oversees all photography sessions, ensuring alignment with property goals and brand image.
Cultivating Strong Relationships to Drive Sales and Marketing Opportunities
• Identifies and engages with distribution channels that can effectively sell excess inventory to boost occupancy.
• Provides all sales channels with innovative tools to enhance property marketing efforts.
• Acts as a liaison between corporate and individual properties to ensure optimal utilization of corporate resources and opportunities.
• Collaborates with media buyers to strategize and implement advertising campaigns.
• Assists the property in crafting promotions for various marketing campaigns, aligning with overall strategy and objectives.
• Supports the property with materials, tracking, analysis, and presentations for stakeholders.
• Represents the property in dealings with vendors, balancing quality and cost-effectiveness while approving all necessary materials.
Additional Marketing Responsibilities
• Maintains comprehensive records related to the property's marketing assets (e.g., photo usage rights, vendor agreements).
• Ensures compliance with all corporate marketing standards.
• Authorizes all invoicing through the Marketing Communications office.
