Job Description

Job Summary

Vestas is seeking a highly skilled Quality Management Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Quality department, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality in our supply chain.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement quality standards and procedures for welding materials and processes in the supply chain.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate quality requirements into supply chain operations.
  • Conduct audits, evaluations, and periodic reviews to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Work closely with suppliers to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements in welding supply chain operations to enhance efficiency and reduce defects.
  • Lead or participate in projects aimed at optimizing welding processes and materials to improve product quality.
  • Provide training and guidance to supply chain team members on quality-related topics.
  • Develop and maintain quality control plans and inspection protocols for welding materials and components.
  • Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for non-conformances and implement preventive measures.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and customer-specific requirements related to welding.
  • Assist in maintaining necessary certifications and accreditations for welding processes and assembly process.
  • Prepare detailed quality reports, metrics, and presentations for management and stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate records of quality control activities, inspections, and test results.
  • Qualify new suppliers and items according to Vestas processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (preferably Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or related field).
  • Familiarity with international quality standards (e.g., ISO 1, ISO, ISO, ISO 4).
  • Have NDT knowledge, NDT level II.
  • Proven experience as a Quality Manager / leader or specialist, rich experience on welding, coating, assembly manufacturing.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and support multiple priorities.
  • Excellent English language skills (spoken, read, and written).
